The Band

Tako began its journey as a band in 1984. During the decade of the 80 recorded several outstanding job on all of them “A las puertas del deseo” (“At the gates of Desire” 1989) with which burst into the national rock scene. Then would come the lp “No son horas de pescar” (“There are hours of fishing”) will feature collaborations Boni Rosendo Mercado and Hernandez (Barricada).

In 1993 recorded with BMG Ariola “Todos contra todos” (“All Against All”) with songs that are anthems for his fans as “Carpenter’s convictions” or “Blood and salt.” Later would sign by the independent label AZ Records recording its fifth album, “Veneno” (“Poison” 1996), after a subsequent compilation return to the studio to record in the 2000 “El club de los inquietos” (“Club of the restless”) whose first single, “Bullets of vodka” would enter the lists of the main stations in the country.

In 2003 created his own record label, Juntaversos Records, and recorded his album “Jaque” (“Checkmate”) that contains a dvd-documentary history of the band to date. This disc allows the approach to Latin America for the first time by making two consecutive tours in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

In 2007 they recorded their album “Trece” (“Thirteen”) produced by Daniel Alcover and with the collaboration of Daniel Madariaga Julian Kanevsky and entering back into the charts with her single “La mitad de mis espejos” (“Half of my mirrors”).

Spend a year just to record the band finally the long awaited live album “Takorce” recorded entirely in a single concert without any recordings on the memorable night of October 12, 2008 and features collaborations Fernando Madina (Reincidentes), Jorge Salan, José María Villalón and Miguel Perez. More than 24,000 people gathered for the big occasion. The 20 tracks that includes the cd and 23 of the full concert on the DVD show their journey along their 13 albums and more than 20 years for a live capture escentarios getting intense and overwhelming that stands as one of the best groups rock this country.

In 2010, again under the command of producer Daniel Alcover, recorded “The workshop on the whims” his latest album to date.12 tracks plus a version of León Gieco having two regular live musicians: Fernando Giron (guitar) and Teto Elder (drums), getting a powerful sound, sincere and without artifice that marks a before and after his career as approaching the praised the band’s sound live. Although it is difficult to choose a single, songs like “Bastos y espadas”, “Circus” or “La Tormenta” (“Bastos and swords,” “Circus” or “Storm”) received the highest praise by the press devoted to the band as a reference in the rock.
